Pantheon

This is a shot of the ceiling of the Pantheon. The dome of the Pantheon is the only piece of cement made in one piece of this size in Italy. It is made of different density's of cement, they used limestone for the bottom of the dome and as they poured to the top they use a lighter volcanic ash. The top of the dome is completely open to the elements so the floor has been designed for the water to drain away quickly.
